Impact of the Bill of Rights On the Constitution
"The second rights of mankind are not to be rummaged for among old parchments or must be records. They are written as with a sun beam in the world volunteer at human notes, by the hand of dividing itself and can never be erased or absorbed by mortal power” as Alexander Hamilton said in 1775, It is meaning that the rights of mankind are not to be messed with and should be records. The rights written with the people who dived
themselves for freedom , that once the rights are written should never be erased so people always have power also that no one can take the power to the people away. Although sometimes our constitution may seem unfair in certain situations, so much of the constitution is to make sure we; the people have rights and freedoms.
The Bill of Rights was a document that contains the first 10 amendments. It was added to the constitution on December 15, 1791. The First 10 amendments were pretty much for the people. Unlike other countries this gave us the opportunity to have a say in our government. A few amendments that are in the bill of rights are, freedom of speech, right to a speedy trial, and right to unreasonable searches a seizures. With freedom of religion, speech, press, and assembly in some countries you could go to jail if you talk about the government but in America you have the freedom of expression, to say and think about whatever you want. In America we use the first amendment almost every day. For example on Sundays a lot of American families go to church on Sundays, this is us using the first amendment , freedom of religion, to believe in what we want without being judged. Then we have the rights to a speedy trial, if accused we are able to have a fast and fair trial, in other words no waiting and the trial becoming unfair. We get an equal chance to defend ourselves where in other countries you may not even get the chance to defend yourself and the next thing you know you're spending the next 20 years in jail when you could have said one thing that could have gotten you out of trouble and living free instead of behind bars. Last but not least is the right to unreasonable searches and seizures. This amendment lets people have our privacy if you will. No one can search your house or seize your property without a warrant giving them permission to. When you live in the house you call home, you have control of it and not the government.
Every word every amendment was put into the constitution for a reason. Power to the people. the bill of rights, first ten amendments. These
people with more freedom and limiting the power to the government. America is different because in countries other than America the people are
not all treated the same. In India which is based on the caste system. Tells you how important you are and what type of labor you do from when you are born. In America from the time you are born to when you are old you have the chance to achieve life goals that you want to achieve. This is possible because the bill of rights is allowing people with more freedom and power and government with a little power. Just like the tenth amendment states "powers not granted to the United States were reserved to the states or to the people." The power is to the people.
Bill of rights, easy to say. But packs a big impact on the past, present and future. America is a great nation because of the Bill of Rights. Imagine the amount of freedoms and abilities that are available in the United States today as well as in the future. The amendments were for the people,
limited the government, and gave us freedoms. So I guess the only thing to figure out now is which one of those three things is better.
